Stay, Play & Get Away Photo Contest

Welcome to the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce Tourism Bureau’s Photography Contest. Your photo could be Simi Valley’s official postcard! It’s easy to enter your best images of our city, so simply upload your entries online using the online entry form (see below) or via mail, no later than June 30, 2010.

August 2010: Winning pictures announced

Ideas for photos to submit
1. Simi Valley natural environment (landscapes, trees, parks, wildlife)
2. Simi Valley environment (architecture, urban design, infrastructure, historic sites)
3. Simi Valley’s diverse community (people, recreation, commerce, transit)
4. Use your own unique ideas that represent Simi Valley

Eligibility
Contest is open to any amateur or professional photographer, 18 years of age or older, who lives or works in Simi Valley.

Prizes/Awards
1. Winners will be posted in August 2010 on the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce website www.simichamber.org and will be notified by the Chamber.
2. Your name will be credited on the winning postcard.
3. Prizes include: First: $100.00, Second: $50.00 and Third: $25.00

Photo Contest Rules & Guidelines
1. You can use any digital device for electronic submissions as long as the entry is in a jpeg or TIFF format measuring at least 1,000 pixels.
2. When entering a printout- must be 5x7 – 300 dpi minimum
3. Must be original, unpublished, not currently submitted elsewhere, and must have received no prior awards.
4. Photos must be “recognizably Simi Valley” and taken in our City
5. Any photos entered may be used in City or Chamber of Commerce postcards, print or electronic media
6. A completed entry form/agreement must accompany each submittal.
7. All entries must be received no later than June 30, 2010
8. You must obtain a signed model release for any recognizable people in your photographs.

1. Unlimited entries
2. $10.00 fee per photo submitted
